Photos from Midtown Make A Difference Day, the Summer Kick-Off Cookout at the Clinton Avenue Garden and the Block Party on Hoffman Street. Enjoy!
Thanks to everyone who braved the weather on Saturday to help us open the Liberty Street Garden at Clinton Avenue United Methodist! We started over 30 different kinds of seeds, painted garden rock decorations and signed people up for plots. We’ve still got a couple left, so if you are interested, shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org! Plots are $5 or you can exchange work in the community plot in order to have your own space.
Thanks to everyone who helped out and showed up for the Easter Egg Hunt at the Community Garden on Liberty Street last Saturday – we had a blast!
So excited to wish our friends and partners in the Midtown Community at Pakt on Broadway a hearty congratulations and welcome to the neighborhood! Make sure to visit them at 608 Broadway to check out the BEST gravy and biscuits north of the Mason-Dixon (maybe even south of it as well!)
Community is sacred. So is breaking bread together. The work that Midtown Rising does in our neighborhood is rooted in a common table, where we gather together twice a month to share food, fellowship, and thoughts about what is taking place in our neighborhood. While guests are encouraged to bring something to share, everyone is welcome to join us for a meal regardless of what they can bring – don’t worry, we always manage to have enough!
Our usual meeting time is the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at 6:30pm at Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church. Please do check our calendar located on the homepage right sidebar) to make sure we haven’t rescheduled to accommodate our members, especially around the holidays!
